ETFO Leadership Under Scrutiny
The Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) has chosen Independent Jewish Voices, a fringe, anti-Zionist group to train its executive on antisemitism.
At a time of rising antisemitism within Ontario schools, this is completely unacceptable.
Parents, grandparents, and guardians can take action now and write directly to ETFO leadership to demand credible, representative antisemitism education.

- Independent Jewish Voices (IJV) holds an extremist ideology and partners with dangerous groups like Samidoun, a Canadian-listed terrorist entity. At the Senate Human Rights Committee in November 2025, IJV member David Mivasair testified that organizations that support the State of Israel “should be destroyed.”
- IJV does not represent the vast majority of Jewish Canadians. Recent data by Dr. Robert Brym indicates that its fringe views are shared by only 1% of Canadian Jews. In contrast, 94% of Canadian Jews support the existence of Israel as a Jewish state.
- IJV’s registered office in Montreal is located at the same address as Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East –an extreme, anti-Israel advocacy group.
