SEND A MESSAGE TO LOCAL MPS
On February 12, controversial U.S.-based political streamer Hasan Piker is scheduled to speak at the University of British Columbia.
He has a longstanding record of statements that justify violence, endanger public safety, amplify extremist actors, and demonize Jews and Israelis. Piker has publicly declared that “America deserved 9/11” and shared imagery suggesting gun violence against elected officials.
Canada’s immigration law is clear: foreign nationals do not have an inherent right to enter Canada. We’re calling on the Government of Canada to review this matter and act decisively.
Send a message to local MPs today and urge them to ensure Canada does not allow individuals who promote dangerous rhetoric and platform Canadian-listed terrorist entities into Canada.

On October 29, 2024, New York Congressman Richie Torres sent a letter to Twitch CEO Daniel Clancy, “to express alarm about the amplification of antisemitism on Twitch at the hands of Hasan Piker, who is one of the largest political streamers with a following of 2.7 million.” He wrote that “Hasan Piker has emerged as the poster child for the post-October 7th outbreak of antisemitism in America.” Torres highlighted the following statements made by Piker:
May 22, 2024 – in a livestream, he said, “It doesn’t matter if….rapes happened on October 7th, like that doesn’t change the dynamic for me […] the Palestinian resistance is not perfect…”
January 2024 – he platformed a Yemeni TikTok influencer, who is a claimed “Houthi pirate” by the name of “Rashid al-Haddad” on his livestream.
August 2019 – during a Twitch livestream, which is no longer available, Piker said, “America deserved 9/11”
In an undated livestream, he demonized Orthodox Jews as “inbred”
On October 12, 2025 – Piker tweeted demonizing Israel as innocent Israeli hostages were returned home.
Hasan Piker’s rhetoric is incompatible with Canadian values and raises serious public safety concerns, especially amid the surge in antisemitism we have seen across social media platforms, on our university campuses and in the streets of Vancouver.
